Postdoctoral Position in Visual Cortical Neurophysiology - CNRS Paris

We have a postdoc position for a collaborative project with David DiGregorio at the Institut Pasteur and Boris Gutkin at the École Normale Supérieure (http://www.gnt.ens.fr/people.php?id=2) , aimed at characterizing the functional impact of membrane excitability, dendritic computation and synaptic dynamics in visual cortical neurophysiology. This person will focus on in-vivo whole cell patch recordings coupled with intracellular imaging of voltage and calcium dynamics, and the project will be closely allied with the analysis of biophysically-detailed models of cortical neurons. The contract will be initially for one year, with possible extension. Experience required in either computational neuroscience, electrical engineering, applied physics, or electrophysiology.
